ABOUT CODA GROUP

Coda Group is a sustainability consulting firm founded and operated in Southern Nevada, with a focus on elevating our projects with responsible and practical sustainable solutions for each and every client. Coda focuses on both new and existing buildings pursuing sustainable certification such as ENERGY STAR, Green Globes and LEED certification and has worked on projects ranging from large scale new construction military bases to single story existing office buildings.

Coda was founded in 2009, with a mission and passion for sustainable minded solutions. Our clients are business owners, architects, contractors, government entities, REITS, and private developers. In addition to our services on sustainability work projects, Coda has a focus on improving our community through professional involvement and community service, including professional organizations such as the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the U.S. Green Building Council, where Jennifer is past president of the Nevada Chapter, NAIOP – the commercial real estate organization and charities such as St. Baldrick’s, a children’s cancer research charity, and Habitat for Humanity.

Our goal is to provide real-world environmental solutions through our work and service to provide value to our clients and improve our community. Do well by doing good.

AIA Las Vegas President’s Award – 2012

Awarded at the liberty of the Chapter President to someone who has contributed to their success as Chapter President for service to AIA for the AIA+2030 Professional Series Program.

USGBC Nevada Most Valuable Person Award – 2012

Awarded at the liberty of the Chapter President to someone that has provided significant contributions to the Chapter.

Environmental Responsibility Award, Sellen Construction – 2012

Awarded for significant leadership in sustainability among the group of 500 Sellen employees.

NAIOP National Developing Leaders Award – 2010

The annual award honors Developing Leaders (NAIOP Members age 35 and under) for their extraordinary talent and contributions to the industry. Fifteen individuals were honored with the 2010 Developing Leaders Award and were recognized at the Development ’10 Conference. Each Developing Leader was judged based on six criteria: leadership, professional competency, career goals, education, NAIOP Participation and community involvement.

NAIOP Nevada Rising Star Award – 2010

Awarded to the winning team group development project team during the 2009-10 Developing Leaders Institute Program, served as Architect and Sustainability Advisor for the team.

Jennifer Turchin

Jennifer Turchin - IronmanSustainability has been a part of Jennifer’s entire life, from growing up in Montana, to getting her Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design, to writing her Masters of Architecture thesis on the Phenomenology of Place, to deciding to make sustainability a key offering of Coda Group Inc. is all in line with her personal values.

Jennifer has been an advocate for sustainability since 2004 when she first learned about the LEED program and achieved her LEED Accredited Professional designation, the first person at her workplace at the time, where she then became the go to person for all of the firm’s LEED projects.

In additional to her love of architecture and sustainable design, Jennifer is also an Ironman Triathlete and has a passion for outdoor activities including hiking, snowboarding, rock climbing and triathlon. If she’s not in the office – you’ll find her in the pool or on the road training for her next event.

    Stacey Oien
    Associate AIA

    Stacey is a native to Las Vegas and has spent most of her life in the southwest. She attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas receiving a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design as well as a Masters of Architecture.

    Stacey approaches each project with a fresh perspective focusing on ways to enhance our clients’ environment through design introducing sustainable materials and or techniques whenever possible.

    Stacey is also an enthusiastic gardener, spending countless hours focusing on plants that thrive in our arid climate. She believes strongly in community and donates many hours annually on a variety of causes throughout Southern Nevada—One of which is the Nevada Test Site Historical Foundation where she volunteers as Editor for Publications for the National Atomic Testing Museum.
